WarmMark

The WarmMark temperature sensors alert users of exposure to high temperature conditions. They also indicate the cumulative amount of time above the temperature threshold. Without a temperature indicator, a cold chain breach may go unnoticed resulting in a compromise in your product’s quality.

WARMMARK TEMPERATURE INDICATORS BY SHOCKWATCH

WarmMark temperature indicators measure temperature and alert users of exposure to high temperature conditions. They also indicate the cumulative amount of time above the temperature threshold. Without them, a cold chain breach may go unnoticed resulting in a compromise in your product’s quality.

HOW CAN YOU BE SURE THAT UNSAFE TEMPERATURE DURING TRANSIT HAS NOT COMPROMISED YOUR PRODUCT’S QUALITY AND EFFICACY?

Refrigeration equipment is not always reliable. Ambient temperatures can vary dramatically during transit, at distribution centers and when in storage. Your product may encounter unexpected delays in areas with less than ideal conditions.

A WarmMark time temperature indicator provides a cost effective tool for monitoring the temperature of your package. A temperature indicator is a single use device that provides accurate evidence of a temperature excursion. With the information you gather from these indicators, you can make smarter decisions across your cold chain.

FAQs

Why should I use a WarmMark Indicator?

The WarmMark alerts you if the item being monitored has been exposed to a temperature above the specified rating of the device.

Is the WarmMark resettable?

No, the WarmMark is not resettable.

What should I do if the WarmMark indicator is activated?

If the indicator has been activated, you should contact the shipment sender to determine the appropriate course of action.

What does the run-out of a WarmMark indicate?

Run out indicates the time the temperature has been over the temperature threshold. It does not indicate the amount of time that the WarmMark can be used. In other words, if your product can withstand temperatures above 8C for 12 hours but you need to monitor your product for a three days, an 8C WarmMark with a 48 hour run-out would be the solution. The 48 hours would be an indication of the time over 8C not the duration of the trip.

How do I arm the WarmMark to start monitoring?

Before arming, the WarmMark indicator should be placed in an environment at least 5°C below the WarmMark’s activation threshold temperature for a minimum of 30 minutes.
To arm the WarmMark indicator, fold up and pull out the indicator’s activation tab until the tab and barrier film have been completely removed.

Where should the WarmMark be mounted?

The WarmMark should be located where it will be visible to the receiver of the monitored shipment and is best adhered directly to the product being monitored or located inside the packaging close to the product being shipped.

How do I interpret the WarmMark?

When the WarmMark is exposed to conditions above the indicator’s activation temperature ±1°C, a red dye will begin migrating through the run-out window(s).
Run-out times are based on a temperature 2°C (4°F) above the indicator threshold. If the temperature is greater than 2°C (4°F) above the activation temperature of the device, the run-out will occur faster.

How should the WarmMark be stored?

WarmMark indicators should be stored in a cool dark place below the activation temperature of the indicator
and between 35-55% relative humidity (RH).
