Virtual Safety Gate (VSG)

Provide safe passage for pedestrians with the Virtual Safety Gate (VSG)

Ensuring the integrity of employees in our industries is an absolute priority for every business. Preventing occupational accidents and contributing to safety and health at work we would like to introduce you to our most recent development, the Virtual Safety Gate (VSG) solution.

The VSG solution consists of a virtual door operated by photocells and activated by movement. When access to a certain area or intersection is allowed, the VSG projects a green line on the ground to let the pedestrian know it is safe to cross. When access is not allowed, the VSG projects a red line on the ground to let the pedestrian know that it is not safe to cross.

If the VSG detects a forklift, a red line is projected on the ground indicating that pedestrian access is not allowed. If the pedestrian decides to cross the virtual door when the red light is being projected, a light and a sound alarm switch on and a signal is sent to the vehicle so that the driver is aware of the danger.

This innovative solution can be easily combined with other solutions like the Visual Alert System (VAS). Using the VAS solution, a pedestrian crossing image or any other type of image can be projected when there are no forklifts in the vicinity that then directs a pedestrian it is safe to cross as well. When the VSG detects a forklift, the pedestrian crossing or image will disappear and a red light will be projected.

The VSG solution stands out for its multiple benefits and many ways of adapting to the environment where it operates. For example, if a warehouse does not have any barriers or gates, this system can solve the work dynamics by generating virtual doors, thus making the place safer and more practical and avoiding the need to invest in enclosures.
This system requires no maintenance, takes up almost no space and is easy to install, thus becoming a highly useful solution for any industry.
